An excellent idea to post a picture to help illustrate a medical problem, so few people think to do it and it is obviously often very helpful!.

The picture shows an area of cellulitis, with a central, spot/boil/infected bite!. It is impossible to say which!. If the majority of the red area is soft and feels fairly normal, then probably oral antibiotics are the answer!. If there is a significant area of hardness or firmness around the central spot, it may be necessary to poultice the area to draw the pus into one place, if this is large enough it might need excision and drainage!.

Go show it to your GP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It looks like an inflamed boil!.

Draw a ring round the red inflamation with felt tip and if it spreads any further out go to your doctor and get antibiotics before it turns into blood poisoning!. If the redness reduces you dont need to do anything other than gently squeeze out the pus and keep the area clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if there is a hair in the middle of it, its jsut an infected hair!.!.!.i had one and i popped it then plucked the hair and it went away

if there isnt it could be a bug/spider bite or a boil

keep it clean and try not to scratch it

and if it doesnt go away in a few days tell ur mom and have her take you to the doctor, or have her look at itWww@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it's anything to worry about, just an infected pustule (just like a zit really!.!.almost like a boil) getting them around that area is common if you wear tight clothing!. In future just wear looser clothing and keep the area dryWww@Answer-Health@Com

A bite!? It could be infected though!. The same happened to me once, just keep on applying some anti-bacterial cream to it, and it should get better!. If you are really concerned, go to the doctors!.

Hope this helps!. XXXWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think that it is something else that no one has suggested yet!.!.!.!.A staph infection!. If that's what it is, it is very contagious and can be deadly!. Go to an urgent care center, doctor, or ER NOW!. That redness around the site is an extension of the infection from you scratching or irritating the area!. You have spread the infection underneath your skin to the entire area that you see the redness!. So, that little spot has the potential to grow to the size of the whole red area if this is staph and you don't get it treated!.

If you find out it is staph, you can buy an over the counter soap in a bottle called Hibiclens!. You should shower with that each day!. Be sure and read the bottle for special precautions!. Also, you should either wash all your bed sheets or throw them away!. Also, buy some cheap razors in a package!. Use one razor each for each leg, and each underarm and yet another if you shave your bikini area!. That's a total of 5 razors!. You want to do that to prevent other parts of your body from getting the infection!. Also throw out your makeup and all the tools you use with it!. Buy mouthwash and use it every day while you have this spot!. Buy a good disinfectant cleaner for all the surfaces of your house!. Keep your wound covered with a band-aid so you won't be tempted to scratch it!.!.!.Also, if you have pets, call your vet and tell them you want an antibiotic for your pets!. They will tell you that it isn't likely that your pet needs to be treated for an infection but you can and should insist that they give you an antibiotic for your pet!. Even though your pet may not show signs of infection, they can still carry the infection and when this spot goes away, if every living thing in your house isn't treated, the infection may come back!. Which brings me to my last tidbit of advice!. Now that you've taken care of yourself, your house, and your pets, don't forget about other people who live with you!.!.!.!.They need to get on an antibiotic and use that Hibiclens soap!.!.!.!.

I don't care if I'm wrong about this and I don't mean to scare you but if this is what I think it is, then it has the potential to get ugly fast so you really need to see a doctor and get on an antibiotic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
