Question: Can we survive without our liver!?
I know we can survive without one of our kidneys but do we really need our liver or do we die without it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The liver is kind of a waste basket for your body!. The liver stores that waste and later flushes it of the body!. If you had no liver, you would probably be bleeding to death!. If surgically removed, you must be on lifesupport!.
You would die in minutes w/o your liver!. It does several things!. It, along with the heart and lungs, is called a vital organ for a reason!. Look it up on Google!. I can think of at least four functions the liver has off the top of my head, but I know there are several more!.

See the liver is like a fliter for our body and traps all the stuff coming in!. Especially like alcohol, if you drink too much, you can kill it!.
So I wouldn't think you could live without a liver!.

Not only is your liver like your body's filter, it makes clotting factors that help you stop bleeding!. So not only would you fill up with toxic by-products, you would also bleed pretty badly without new clotting factors being created!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
