cold sores is a form of herpes!. but they can begin in childhood, usually they are passed down from a parent to a child!. for instance, my mom and sisters get them, but my dad and i don't!. as for not sleeping well causing them, this is probably true!. when you don't treat your body well - if youre not sleeping regularly, youre stressed, bad diet, etc - the virus tends to act up!.

i understand how you feel, because i too, am a major recovering hypochhondriac!. you have to try to realize and accept that sure it is a possibility that you may have contracted herpes, but there is really nothing you can do about it at this point anyway!. so try to relax!

in the meantime, as long as you are not kissing him or are not sexually active with him when he has the cold sores, or feels like he is getting one, you should be pretty in the clear from contracting the virus, but this is NOT 100% for sure!. and, if it will make you feel better, you can go to your doctor to get a blood test to test for herpes!.

but really, i wouldn't be worried!. just try to relax!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop freaking out!. By the time of late childhood, 90% of the population has "cold sores" or oral herpes!. Its not a big deal!. Chances are you've already had the virus most of your life!. Just don't have oral sex when either of you have a cold sore!. Col sores are not a big deal!. Almost everyone has had one or at least has the virus, just like evryone has had a cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you have ever had a cold sore in your life, you have one type of herpes, herpes simplex I, genital herpes is herpes simplex II!. It is possible to spread type I to type II areas and vice versa, and probably your boo got it from contact with someone in his family with a hx of coldsores like a parent!. The worst thing that could happen is you could get a cold sore!. Herpes is not a death sentence chill outWww@Answer-Health@Com

herpes has nothing to do with cold sore!. that too when he has cold sore, it might spread to u also!. First of all see a dermatologist and then only start thinking of it!.

Believe it or not many common illnessnesses are forms of the herpes virus!. The chicken pox is a form of the virus and this virus actually lies dormant in our bodies nervous system the rest of our lives after we have already have had the outbreak!. Stress or low ammunity can cause it to spring up in the form of the shingles!. I had this when I was 12, it's a rash of the nervous system so it hurts really bad!.

The herpes family has 8 outcrops that can cause illness!. Typically they are refered to herpes 1 and 2!. One is the one you descrbed which has nothing to do with sexual contact and causes cold sores!. I had a friend in elementary school who had this variety!. Then their is herpes 2 which is the one associated with sex and the genitals!. Both are contagious, but you are just as likely to catch it kissing your parents or grandparents!. Most people have or will contract simplex 1!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
