Having a diagnostic mammogram on August 8th...?!
Question: Having a diagnostic mammogram on August 8th!.!.!.!?
The doc said he is 99% sure it is fibrous because they move and he has felt cancer, and these do not feel that way!. I am nervous though still!! I go once a year for clinical breast exams and am always told i have fibroids!. I am 32, started birth control like 4 months ago!.
Any advice on relaxing!? I stress and worry very easily!.

A Diagnostic Mammogram takes more slides of both breasts!. You might also contact your doctor and ask that the referral for the mammogram be amended to include ultrasound, if the Mammogram radiologist feels it is needed, it can be done on the same appointment instead of having to wait for another authorization and more stress and worry until the next appointment!. Ultrasound is often used as a diagnostic tool, on younger women who tend to have more dense breast tissue!. It can also help determine if the lumps/fiberous tissues is from cysts or just normal lumpy breast tissue!. Also, you might want to schedule the mammogram for right after your period!.
Try focusing on other fun things before your appointment to help you relax!. Such as dinner and a movie or getting a manicure and pedicure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try not to be nervous!. That's great that you're getting a mammogram!. Even if it's nothing serious, it's good for them to have a baseline mammo to refer back to for future mammos!.
As far as relaxing, try doing some deep breathing exercises!. Try not to overthink everything!. A Diagnositc mammogram is a little more involved than a regular mammo!. I believe they take a few more slides!. and it will be both breasts!.

first of all get off birth control i got breast cancer from it i m ok now after a year of treatment chemo and radiation and i got it from birth control pill so please stop get checked out and enjoy life if your okWww@Answer-Health@Com
