Question: Is it true wat they say!?
Is it true that once cancer is in lymph nodes its a spread and not good newsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You don't give any details about the type of cancer!.

If cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, the risk that it may have or may in the future spread to other parts of the body - metastasis - are increased, but by no means guaranteed!. Once it has metastasised it is not curable, but can often be managed, in many cases for years!.

I had breast cancer and the cancer had spread to 13 of my axillary (underarm) lymph nodes!. All my axillary lymph nodes (21 in my case) were removed, and I had chemotherapy which is the way possible spread of the cancer is treated!.

Four and a half years later I am fit and well, with no sign of cancer at my last routine check-up (last week)!.

I know it is still a risk, but the risk becomes less as the years go by!.

Cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes is not good news, but it isn't the automatic death sentence some people here seem to think it is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A cancer in your lymph node could mean a spread, but it could also be a site where it started (as with lymphomas)!.

Cancerous lymph nodes can be treated, but it is extremely important to identify where the cancer started and where it has spread to!. Then your doctor can determine a treatment plan!.

If you have more information, I can better answer your question!. In the meantime, don't think that you are without options!. Remain positive and gather all of the information you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

LYMPH NODES are like gates to the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM!. meaning, whatever passes the lymph nodes are directed to the GENERAL CIRCULATION!.!.!.

(S155 may be doing great these days but today's status isn't a reassurance for S155's future!. invasion of the lymph nodes may not be a "doom" depending on how well you go to the docs and have your cancer treated, but still THE RISK REMAINS THERE)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It totally depends but as a rule it isn't good!.

In some patients cancer spreads without going to the lymph nodes!. Other patients have cancerous cells in their lymph nodes but it doesn't spread anywhere else (as long as it is removed early)!.

When it comes to cancer, it's a really case by case thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends!. Lymph nodes are through the entire body within the blood!. Yes it travels, there are different types from slow to fast!. It also can entire some organs!. There is no cure, but there is treatment!. And cancer is never good news!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Once cancer gets that far, then is when the chances of you living are so low that the doctor tries to estimate how long you have to live!.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh my gosh, some of these answers are off the wall!. How many of you are drs or have had personal experience with cancer!? My breast cancer had spread to 3 of my lymph nodes!.!.!.does that mean I'm doomed!?!?Because I'm doing great these days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
