Question: I'm I supposed to be ashamed of myself for having acne!?
I certainly embarrased about it!. However, should I be ashamed to talk to my doctor about it!? They're just not on my face, but they're also on my arms!. I haven't take my shirt off in public since 2005!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know you feel embarassed, but there is no reason to be ashamed!. A lot of people all over the world have acne!. Your doctor has heard about worse problems, believe me!. Imagine going to the doctor and saying "I have genital herpes!." I think that is more embarassing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have acne, and it's been really hard to clear up, even with two doctor appointments so far, but I don't let it get to my self-esteem!. Sure, I'd really like clear skin, but having confidence in yourself is important, and you can't let something like that get you down!.
But I'd say you should go to the doctor, they're not there to judge you, and no one else would know anyway, not that they'd judge you if you did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had acne since I was in 6th grade!.!.!. I'm about to be a sophomore in college!. I've been acne free since around Christmas :] Only because of my dermatologist!. It took a lot of trial and error!.!. but now I will occasionally go out in public without makeup (I haven't done this in YEARS)!. Please talk to a dermatologist!.!. I know how it feels to be so super embarrassed by it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
