Taking TOPOMAX for 6 weeks, just got my 2nd migraine in 2 days...what do I do?!
Question: Taking TOPOMAX for 6 weeks, just got my 2nd migraine in 2 days!.!.!.what do I do!?
I had 5 1/2 GLORIOUS weeks of no grand-mal migraines; mine are life-altering, vision-loss, vomiting, intense head pain, pretty much hell for almost 10 hours!.
Anyways, started taking TOPOMAX at night, 25 mg, the first week, 50 mg, the 2nd, 75 mg the 3rd, and 100 mg the 4!. At that point the DR said to not take any more!.
Well, things were great!. My body adjusted to the meds after a few weeks, but the last 2 days my brain has decided it's time to "play" again!.
What can I do!?!?!? I can't call my dr until Monday!. I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and take an extra 25 mg tonight and tomorrow just to ward off the evil!?
Bad idea!? Yes, I should seek medical advice, but I'm looking for people who're taking TOPOMAX!. Preferably ones that are taking more than 100 mg per day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hi there!. although its not recommended to do so, i have taken extra topomax to help with my migraines!. you should go to the er first thing, but if not, it does hlep, dont do it all the time!. some people do not understand who do not have these type migraines!. i get at least 2 aweek, and can last for 24hrs and some!. topomax has helped a great deal, but it to has its side effects!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
