Can teens and children have type 2 diabetes?!

Question: Can teens and children have type 2 diabetes!?
I was wondering if only people in their 40s+ are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and if only people below that age are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Anyone can develop type 2 diabetes!. While traditionally associated with older people because children are expected to be active/slim, now that that trend is changing, more and more children are becoming diabetic!.

Also, anyone at any age can develop type 1 diabetes, although it's more commonly diagnosed in children and teenagers!. When diagnosed in adults, it's frequently misdiagnosed as type 2, with later antibody tests revealing that they are a latent-onset type 1- which for some people, can take years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

More and more younger people are being diagnosed with T2DM every day!. It is no longer a disease of us older folks!. Why!? (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise) Poor diet (fast foods, high fructose corn syrup) and lack of exercise (video games) are accelerating the process that gets us older people into trouble!. The fix is, eat a well balanced diet with lots of fruits and veggies, and get plenty of daily exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
