Question: Lotion and Condom scare!?
Hello, I recently have had a a scare about HIV!. They reason being that I am unsure that my partner is or is not HIV+!. Another being that when I was using the condom my partner used a small bit of hand lotion!. Just enough to make here hands moist and then she rubbed the condom!. I read that using lotion renders the condom useless!. I am worried that she made the condom useless!. The condom did not break and did not have a tear in it and it did not slip off!. What are my risks!. I am worried because now about 70 hours after I had sex with her I have a sore throat!. I now am very very scared that I might have been infected!. I am worried that in a couple of days I will devolpe a fever whice is what most people that are infected get!. Can anyone put my mind at ease or explain to me if I am at risk now!? I will be getting a HIV in 4 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the first thing you need to know about HIV is that you will need to get tested again in 6 months, because it will take that long for it to show up most of the time!.
the next thing you should hear is that the lotion rendered the spermicide on the condom (nonoxyl-9) useless, not the condom itself!. the spermicide helps in the prevention of HIV (it kills it), as it is smaller than sperm itself!. there is no way to tell for sure if you got it until you get tested, but a sore throat would not appear 70 hours, or even 70 days, after intercourse if infected!. most people don't know they have HIV for years after infection!. talk to your partner about their history, whether they are at risk or not, whether they've been tested or not, etc!. all in all, i wouldn't worry too much about it!. keep using the condoms and getting tested regularly! that's the smartest thing you can do!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you'll only know after the test - get your partner to have one too!. in this day and age, how does one have sex with someone without being sure of their status!?
