Why do I keep getting strep throat?!
Question: Why do I keep getting strep throat!?
I currently right now have strep throat, I been off and on fighting with it since July 3rd!. It seems that during the week it goes away but then comes back on the weekend!. Why do I keep getting it!? This is 3+ time in a year!.
The meds that I have been taking are the Amoxicillion they gave me on the 3rd (off and on) then it finally gave out on the second week and did not help!. Then I start thinking Sudafeed PE - Serve cold, that did the same thing, stop working yesterday it work for exactly 7 days!. Now I am not taking anything I am drinking hot tea and some sore thorat spray!. This help to get my voice back!.
The doctor's said that if I get it one more time, that I would need to have my tollis removed!. Would that help reduce the chances of getting strep throat!?

having your tonsils removed doesn't make you stop getting strep!. i had mine out 4 years ago and i still get strep 4-5 times a year!. some of us are just more prone to it than others!. all you can really do is get the strep tests done as soon as you start to feel it, and take the antibiotics before you get too sick and sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Strep is probably living in your toothbrush and probably on the bathroom counter where you lay your toothbrush!. Get a new toothbrush and clean everything the old toothbrush touched!. By the way, you have to take the antibiotic consistently to knock the strep out of your system!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
tollis!?!? i think u mean tonsils!. and btw, sudafed won't do anything for ur strep!. did u actually listen 2 ur dr when he gave u I-N-S-T-R-U-C-T-I-O-N-S!? u said ur taking amoxicillin "off & on", so i'm guessing in one ear out the other right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should brush your teeth properly especially your tongue, because most of the time, its in the tongue that bacterias thrive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It does not lessen your chance for strep, only tonsillitis!. Take your antibiotics until they are all gone!. If you don't take them properly, you may as well save your money!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You are actually making yourself sicker when you stop taking the antibiotic early!. The antibiotic begins to kill the bacteria so you feel better than you were so you stop taking it before all of it is killed!. The ones not killed yet are the ones more resistant to the antibiotic!. So when you stop taking thte antibiotic all you have left are the more resistant ones which start growing to fill in for the dead ones!. So the next time you take the antibiotic it is harder to kill the bacteria and then you stop taking it and are left with resistant bacteria again even stronger!. So, when you take antibiotic you have to keep taking it at the full dose until it is gone so it kills ALL of the infection!. If you were doing what you were supposed to be then the infection would be killed and you would heal the damage!. But you never kill it all so it always grows back and you never heal the damage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
