Question: Can a mother breastfeed with genital herpes!?
Half of the articles I read say yes and the other ones say no!. I need a definite answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Herpes Simplex Virus 2 is contracted by skin to skin contact NOT through blood or bodily fluids (HSV or oral herpes can, however, be contracted through saliva)!. So, unless the mother has HSV on her breasts, yes it is safe to breast feed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes!.!.!.you can!. I did!. Breastfeeding is healthy and good for the baby!. It gives them antibodies needed for their immune system, digest better, and is what was meant for them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't recomend it, bc!. the germ is in your blood, so it could possibly be passed on to your child, try formulaWww@Answer-Health@Com
