Why is there a lump under my skin after surgery to remove infection?!

Question: Why is there a lump under my skin after surgery to remove infection!?
I had a bad infection of in my face (believed to be MRSA) and was sent to the ER to have the large bumps on my face cut open to remove the infection (sorry, I know that's gross!)!. It's been almost a week & I've been on heavy antibiotics!. The bumps on the skin are gone, but I still feel a hardened mass under my skin where they cut!. I cannot afford to go back to the doctor!. Does anyone have any idea if this is normal!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there, this caould be a hematoma, which is a swelling caused from a broken blood vessel under the skin which could have happened during your surgery, or it could be damaged tissue, as its been only a week since your surgery I would wait and see if this improves, hopefully it will, if not get some sort of medical advice if its at all possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be keloidsWww@Answer-Health@Com
