Are you talking inside!? Inside is the vagina, outside (where the hair is) is the vulva!. The vulva can become itchy from shaving (and new hairs growing in) and from sweating!. If you are young, while the hairs are growing in, it will be itchy a lot!. Yeast infections are usually accompanied by a thick whitish/yellowish discharge and if they go on long enough, they usually burn!. You probably don't have a yeast infection, and just have normal itching!. The good news, if you do have a yeast infection, is that the prescription cure for it is a one time pill!. You can also get over the counter medication that is about as effective as the one time pill, but usually is about 7 days in length!. I wouldn't recommend using the over the counter medication unless you are sure you have a yeast infection!. The first time you think you have one--see a doctor, get them to diagnose it--then if you get one after that, you'll know for sure and usually you can get your doctor to prescribe the medication without you coming into the office!. But your itching sounds pretty normal for now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Knowing the symptoms of yeast infection can help to have a better initial diagnosis of the condition!. The typical yeast infection symptoms that can be observed are severe itching in the vaginal and vulvar area, redness, irritation, small cracks in the sensitive mucous membrane, which cause pain, and a thick, white, curdish discharge!. The discharge is generally odorless!. In severe cases itching and redness can spread to the upper thighs!. These symptoms may be due to the infection itself or to an allergic response to the fungus, which can be severe!.
