Question: Colposcopy!?
It came up with CIN 2 in my pap but had to get a colpo done a month and a half later!. Now just waiting for results!. Any chance I might have to get a hysterectomy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, you will not need a hysterectomy and i don't know of ANY doctor that would try to give you one (in response to the one above suggesting that they do)!. doctors only do hysterectomies for invasive cervical cancer!. if it is low grade cervical cancer you can also have a procedure where they just remove your cervix but leave your uterus intact, it is called a trachelectomy!. good luck, and don't worry, you will be just fine!. oh yeah and to the girl that asked if colposcopy hurts, it did for me the first time ( i have had 3 colpo's) but now if i have to have one done, i take ibuprofen (like advil) 30 minutes before my appointment and they don't hurt at all!. good luck to everyone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They often are!. They are a very lucrative surgery for the doctor!.
There are often alternatives to a surgical removal of your uterus!.
Also note that removal of the ovaries can cause numerous symptoms, including and especially osteoporosis!. These can be partly alleviated with estrogen replacement therapy, but that has been implicated in causing cancers - especially of the breast!.
PLEASE get a second opinion, and possibly a third, from a doctor in a different practice, who works in a different hospital, and is preferably in a different city before you consent to having surgery which may be detrimental to your long-term health, as well as the dangers of surgery and recovery issues as well as expense!.

Cuz im too afraid to get the colposcopy done!
I found out i have LowGrade Squamous!.!.!. sumthing i 4got!.
But im too nervous to get it done!.
