i get cold sores but r they an std (herpes) and r they contagious when u dont have the cold sore present!.!. because i had sex with this guy and hes scared that i gave him herpes but i didnt have the cold sore and i havent for like a yearWww@Answer-Health@Com

Cold sores are the outbreak of the herpes virus orally, but it can be either strain of HSV 1 or 2!.!.!.if you performed oral sex on him, then yes you could have given it to him via the genitals, or just kissing can spread it as well!. Although the occurrences of spreading the virus while not in an active break out are lower than if you are having an outbreak, it is still possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
