common side effect is not permanent, about 1 or 2 weeks!. You must evaluate the progress your blood glucose level, there are still many other medicine!. I know glucovance, combine between glibenclamide and metformin, single dosage ( repair recistensi and sekres insulin), more safe and more cheap as alternative!. consult your doctor!.!.!.maybe you need little dosageWww@Answer-Health@Com

GLIMEPRIDE
Nausea or upset stomach may occur!. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly!. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: yellowing eyes or skin, stomach/abdominal pain, dark urine, unusual tiredness or weakness, easy bleeding or bruising, signs of infection (e!.g!., fever, persistent sore throat), mental/mood changes, unusual or sudden weight gain, seizures!.

GLUCOPHAGE
The most common side effects with metformin are nausea, vomiting, gas, bloating, diarrhea and loss of appetite!. These symptoms occur in one out of every three patients!. These side effects may be severe enough to cause therapy to be discontinued in one out of every 20 patients!. These side effects are related to the dose of the medication and may decrease if the dose is reduced!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on glucophage for over 10 years---I had to get off it because it made me hypoglycemic--low blood sugars!. Your side affects do not sound routine and I don't agree with your doctor to wait 2 months!.!.!.!.!.take your blood sugars 3 times a day and see if your bs is dropping to 80 0r below---then call your doc and tell him you cannot tolerate the two meds!.!.!.he should have started you on low doses or even one first, not both at the same time!.!.!.!.maybe you should look for a doctor who specializes in diabetic control!? We have specialists in our area, hopefully there is one in yours!.!.!.!.good luck to you and don't just lay there and suffer!.!.!.!.!.call him and if your sugar DOES drop too low---call someone to drive you to the er and take a teaspoon of sugar immediately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i asked the same question when i was put on metformin 6 months ago and i thought i was crazy lol!. i had the same symtoms!! the doctor told me the same thing that it would take a bit to adjust to the meds but not to stop taking them!. 6 months later now i get occasional stomach problems but nothing too bad!. so i think they were right!. it started to go away about 3 months into it!. some of those symtoms could be from high and low blood sugar as well!. i get headaches when my blood sugar is in 70's and 80's!. i also get headaches when i eat something that rises my blood sugar way too quickly!. the dizzyness and fatigue came with low blood sugar as well!. test you blood sugar often and keep a notebook when your feeling a certain way and what your readings are!. sometimes eating more often helps!. your body is trying to adjust to "normal" blood sugar levels and its going to take a while to know what that is for you!. everyone says 70's are ok!. but mine has to be around 100 to feel fine!. its going to vary depending on person to person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
