Question: Strep throat!. No insurance!?
I am 14 years old I am on vacation with my sister in California I caught strep throat and I can't use my insurance because it ran out plus it's provided by the state of Washington!. I can barely eat but I'm down 20 glasses of water a day> I'm taking a whole bunch of medicine!. I can barely talk and breathe!. I am very afraid that I will suffocate while I'm sleeping because it's hard to breathe!. I've been gargling salt water drinking tea with honey and taking a whole bunch of cold medicine!. I need to get rid of it because I'm around a whole bunch of younger kids!. What can I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Strep throat will go away in 3 to 7 days with or without treatment!. Doctors usually treat strep throat with antibiotics even though they may not make you well faster!. Antibiotics shorten the time you are able to spread the disease to others (are contagious) and lower the risk of spreading the infection to other parts of your body!.
Your doctor may also advise you to take an over-the-counter medicine like acetaminophen (such as Tylenol) or ibuprofen (such as Advil or Motrin) to help with pain and lower your fever!.

If you symptoms are that bad, you should go to see a doctor!.
Quick question, where is your legal guardian!? Because you are a minor, you shouldn't be responsible for payment!.
Also, i think every state has government insurance for people with low or no incomes!. if you do end up going to a hospital, ask to talk to the financial counselor to see what your options are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Strep throat can kill you!. George Washington died from it!. Even if you survive, it can give you permanent heart damage!. Since it is a medical emergency, go to a hospital emergency room!.!.!.they are required by law to treat you!.!.!.money or not!. Or call the local hospital and ask about free clinics in the area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I used to get strep a lot and it sucks!. but you need amoxacilian for it to get better!. Try throat spray and cough drops to ease the pain!. gargling with salt water is a great idea!. keep doing that!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
People have DIED from strep throat!. The throat swells so badly that you can't swallow or you start choking on your own spit!. I've seen people go to the ER with a sore throat and end up in emergency surgery because the throat was closing off!. Get yourself to an emergency room NOW!. You won't have to pay anything!. If you don't have any money, the hospital will write off the bill as charity care!. There is no excuse for not going to the ER and getting checked out!. Money is no object when your health or life is at risk!. From the symptoms you mention, this is indeed an emergency!. And that's what ERs are there for!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
There is no home remedy for strep throat!. Have you had a throat culture to determine that it's strep!? You could have tonsillitis or a bad virus!. In any event, the symptoms of strep throat, if untreated, can subside; however, you could end up with heart issues (i!.e!. rheumatic fever)!.
