How big is the liver?!
Question: How big is the liver!?
my nephew is 37 yrs old and he said his liver is 37 centimeters!? Is this normal!? If not what is normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is just a approximate size!. The liver
size can vary from person to person and
whether a patient is male or female, what
age they are, and what shape they are!.
The liver can become enlarged if there
is inflammation of the liver cells ( known
as hepatitis) and if not treated, it can turn to cirrhosis of the liver which is a disease that result in the death of the liver cells that turn
to scar tissue inside the liver and block
the blood flow and nourishment to the
rest of the cells that are left and they
may die also!. It is a very serious disease
that can lead to having to have a
liver transplant in order to survive!.
So, you can see there is alot to take into
consideration about the size of the liver!.
The normal size is an approximation!.
If there is inflammation it will expand in
size and if there is cirrhosis of the liver
that is in progress, it will start to shrink
in size, below normal, as the cells die off and become quite hard in texture!.

hereditary condition, auto immune disease,
fatty liver, bile duct blockage or mal

medication like over the counter meds,
