Try taking an anti histamine medication, Citirizine Hydrochoride is a good one and can be bought cheaply with a chemist's own brand, or you could spend more and get something like Piriteze , not Piriton as that contains a different antihistamine!. Check with your pharmacist if you can still use the cream if you need to!.

My mother used to get dreadful prickly heat on arriving in Spain, drove her mad, then in the early 90's, when sunbeds were popular, she had three sessions before going to Spain, she didn't get prickly heat at all!. Ever since then, she has a few short sunbed sessions the week before she goes to Spain and has not had it since!. It may not work for you, but it is probably worth a try!. Do bear in mind though, that sunbeds are harmful if used a lot, a few sessions for dealing with the prickly heat will be okay though, but don't over do it, if you get burned on a sunbed, it is bad news, my mum burns easily and keeps the sessions short, it just sems to prepare her skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had the same now for three years nothing before this!. As far as I'm aware there is nothing that can stop it but you are on the right track with antihistamine cream!. You might like to try taking the antihisamine in tablet form also, the combination of both should help greatly!. Sometimes applying calamine lotion overnight will help you to stop scratching in your sleep and break the cycle of itch, scratch, itch, scratch!.
I've heard taking a sulphur based medication can help 'cool the blood' but I have not confirmed this so you need to research this yourself!.
Have a fab!. time in Spain x
