The oncologist will have to be involved in referring you to any clinical trials!. S/he should discuss options with your father as part of the treatment choices!.

However being armed with information is always a good starting point! Don't hesitate to ask for more time or additional appointments if your father is uncertain - we have a clinical nurse specialist as main contact, and she answers many questions!. If she can't answer, she just calls up the consultant and lets us know when to pop in, or (during chemo)he came to see us on the ward!.!.!.yes, this was on NHS!.

You can get information on trials on the Cancer Research site!. http://www!.cancerhelp!.org!.uk/trials/tria!.!.!. They are also a good source of support and information on the phone!. Also, check if your local cancer unit has a support centre (Maggie's centre at some hospitals, Lynda Jackson centre at Mount Vernon etc)!.!.!.!.they will have lots of information and are a great source of answers for "stupid" questions when you can't find your medical support team!.

Good luck to your father and the whole family as you battle cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is the free alternative for cancer patients!.Do it and you will know from the future test results!.You can also do it alongside any medical treatment!.Do it seriously and remember it is the systematic approach and the timing which really helps the body to fight!.
Cancer hates oxygen and cannot live in a high-oxygen environment!.If you want to supplement the medical treatment you receive(or not receive) with some alternative therapy then this is for you!. You need to help your body to build up your immune system!.The breathing exercises - pranayam is a holistic approach creating extra oxygen supply in the body and will slowly help with the health problem!.Do the pranayam to see the benefits!.Build up your timing slowly and after four weeks at the suggested maximum duration you will start to notice benefits gradually!.If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume later!.
What is known: pranayam helps the body heal itself!. How it works in the body is not known
