If the Dr!. told you that you do in fact have genital herpes, then I would take his word on that!. You can also go to a second Dr!. just to get confirmation on this, which isn't looked down upon!. Given the amount of variables in the diagnosis process, getting a second opinion can be good!.
However, if it itches, don't always scratch it!. Find out what medications you can take from your Dr!. If this is an outbreak, there really is no direct way of telling the triggers, so the only preventative measure would be to consult your Dr!. further on this and do as much research as possible!.
If this is in fact genital herpes, then it is quite contagious, and you should avoid any type of sexual contact, especially during an outbreak, until you consult your Dr!. further!. If you do touch it, wash your hands with anti-bacterial, or alcohol solvents!. It can spread to your eyes, mouth, hands, or basically any other part of your body with an open wound of glandular opening (like tear duct)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is an outbreak!. If you are not on anti viral medication, they can occur all the time!. If this is your first year in, expect having outbreaks often!. Without medication an outbreak can last months!.
