Perhaps a chest infection?!

Question: Perhaps a chest infection!?
I am trying to get to the doctors, however he has been away and will not return for another two days, and even then is booked out for his first day back!.

I've had trouble breathing for the last couple of weeks, like my chest refuses to expand beyond a certain point making it feel like im short of breath!. About 5 days ago I developed a cough!. It sounds deep and it hurts my chest, throat and sides to cough properly, yet only in the morning and the nights I am able to cough up tiny bits of phelgm!.

I've had cough medicines and flu tablets in the meantime, but nothing seems to stop the coughing or the pain that comes along with it!.

Until I get to the doctors, does anyone have an idea on how to help in the mean time!?

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

This definately sounds like a chest infection and will need antibiotics to claer it properly!.
In the mean time, if you smoke try to stop this is the single worst thing you can do at this moment (i'm a smoker so I know)!. You could try steaming in the shower or with some olbas oil over a bowl with a towel to loosen the phlegm!.
Take it easy and hope you feel better soon xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is definitly bronchitis or pneumonia!. Please call the doctor's office back and tell them you can hardly breathe, and need to see him ASAP! You need a chest Xray!. They should be able to squeeze you in! Some nurses can be very insensitive, and that cough is nothing to mess around with!. My sister had bronchitis that turned into pneumonia and she still has it, 4 weeks later!. Take a lemon/and mix it with Honey, it's a great cough syrup!. Just drink a couple of tablespoons an hour!. But see if you can get that appointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the phelgm colour is yellow or green it's an infection!. Your best bet is seeing another doctor

If not get some hot water and put some drops of euco(eucalyptus) oil and breath in the steam!. Euco oil will kill the germs and the steam loosens the plegm caught at the back of the throatWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! It sounds to me like a chest infection! I was just at the doctors yesterday because I have been short of breathe, Coughing, and coughing flem up!. So I have been put on antibiotics for a chest infection!. So you need to relax, control your breathing!. Don't get worked up over things and take it easy!Www@Answer-Health@Com
