Question: Questions about luekemia!?
i keep searching the internet and i keep asking questions!. the doctor is now testing me for this!. they took blood work friday and there going to take bone marrow tomorrow!.!.
how painful is this biospy(not sure if im spelling this right)!?!?!?
what questions should i be asking my doctor!?
what other things could be wrong other then luekemia that would have the same symtoms!?
are there people out there that can live normal lives and still have children!?
im so scared and full of questions since my doctor said i could possible have this!. i keep checking websites and there not really telling me much!.!. how does a doctor know to check for this type of cancer!? i have had all the symtoms listed!. tiredness, weakness, night sweats, fevors, bruise easily!. but it seems like those could be anything!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will likely be laying on your back, they take the sample from the hip bone!.
You will be awake, but you should ask for some ativan or something before hand!. If you are needle phobic, Dont watch the proceedure!.
They will numb the area with lidocaine, and that will sting until its numb!. THen they stick a nice large needle into your hip bone to pull out marrow!. It is very painful!. You will feel it pull from your toe all the way up your hip!. But, it only lasts for about 30 secs or so!. THen they will chip a small peice of bone, and I feel mostly pressure with that!.
The whole thing from start to finish takes about 10 mins with someone who knows what they are doing!.
As far as questions!.!.!. they wont be able to tell you anything until they get the results back!. Which could be 24 hours if you are doing this at a hospital, or it could be a week or two if its a doc office and they have to send out the sample!.
But, first and foremost, why do the suspect its leukemia!? If its not, what is the next step!?

i'm sure it's more than double normal, because that's not high!. people with leukemia have white blood cell count is like 10,000 or over, super high!. you should talk to your oncologist, they could answer more questions than we can!. you should be sore for a couple of days!. if you are getting a bone marrow biopsy i'm sure they have a good reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would recomend you watch yourself and eat more iron and if you do have luekimia try to stay away from people because your imune system is really low!.
