Question: Having a biopsy tomorrow and im scared!?
the doctor is doing a biopsy and taking a sample from my hip!. i have never had this done and i dont know of anyone who has!. im very scared!.
will it be very painful!? what should i expect!?

Is this a skin biopsy!? Or a deeper tissue biopsy!?
Most biopsies are accompanied by anesthetic, and are virtually painless except for the initial injections!. You may feel some tugging and pulling of your skin, and once the anesthetic wears off, the area might be tender and sore!. Depending on the depth of the biopsy, it may also require cauterization (the use of a high-heat tool to "seal" the wound) or stitches!. Both of these procedures are painless under anesthetic!.
There's really nothing to worry about at all, and you should be absolutely fine to drive home!. If you're highly sensitive to pain, you may wish to discuss that with your doctor/surgeon!. They may provide you with pain killers to help you out!.
Best of luck, and try not to worry too much! If you find that you absolutely can't relax, are shaking, have heavy anxiety symptoms, etc!., you may also wish to ask your doctor for an anxiolytic medication such as Xanax or Ativan to help you calm down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had that done, and i cried the whole day when i was in the hospital but guess what its ot a big deal you can even go home, its not a big deal, But it all depends in how you feel but you should feel good!. Once you get out of the operation your mouth will feel dry but thats becuase of the medicine you take!. It good that you kinda rest for the day and takes things slowly!. You might feel your skin uncommfortable but everything should be fine :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would ask if it would be possible if you could take something to calm you before the biopsy!.
If it is a lump!.!.!.if possible, have the whole thing removed!. A biopsy could spread it to the body!. They pull some flesh out and the cells spread to other parts causing cancer!.

Omg!I think you should not be alone!.It is really dangerous because you could have like a pain thingy and like freak out and crash!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Chances are good it will be a bit painful!. Had one done on my neck & sinus but they put me out for that!. Was sore for a week though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
