Taking excessive amounts of Tums, (calcium carbonate) can prevent your body from being able to absorb iron, therefore the iron is coming out in your stools, causing black stools!. You are not getting, (aborbing) enough iron!. You are probably pretty anemic now!. You need to go see your doctor!. If you can't go to the doctor, at least stop taking excessive amounts of Tums!. I know Tums can become addictive!. People end up eating them like candy, and this is why Tums are dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
