Constant cough that is killing my already raw strep throat....?!
Question: Constant cough that is killing my already raw strep throat!.!.!.!.!?
I have had strep throat for the past 3 days and it is VERY painful, even when swallowing water!. My lymph nodes are swollen and my fever comes back if I don't take an 800 mg ibuprofen!.!.!.
Now I have a new symptom that is extremely annoying!. I have a constant, very shallow cough about every 30 seconds!. If I take a deep breath it's even worse!. My doctor said he wanted me to cough up phlegm (which he said I would get it in about a day or two), so I don't know if it would be ok to take cough medicine or not!. This constant coughing is really harsh on my already raw throat!.
What can I do!? Anything to stop coughing *so frequently* and soothe the pain!?!? I am so fed up at this point and I'm missing work, class, etc!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
