Blood in Yorkies Stool?!

Question: Blood in Yorkies Stool!?
I have a 1 year old Yorkie!. She has had her parvo shot and any other shot she needs up to date!. Lately, she hasn't been eating her food (her hard iames and soft puppy food!.) This has happened before and the vet told us to put her on a different diet (cooked hamburger, etc!.) He also gave her medicine!. That time, she was vomitting a little bit and had a tiny bit of blood in her vomit!. He said it was because of her vomitting and she's so little!. Today, she had a stool (not much) and it was really slimey (she's had this before) and there was a string of blood that got stuck in her hair!. Is this normal!? She is still very playful and seems to be her normal self!. This is worrying me seeing as how it has happened a couple times before this!. All the other times, I told the vet so he was aware of it!. The other time could have been because she had a chip which then I found out that Yorkie's have a very sensitive stomach!. Please help me out here! Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all I'm so sorry that your baby is going through this!.
Is this normal!? No it isn't the only time they may be blood in the stool is if they are constipated and had trouble going to the bathroom!. Since you also mention that she is vomiting and not acting as herself these are signs that there may be a deeper issue!. Its best to take care of this while the signs are early!. It can be a mild kidney infection or just a mild infection but please do not ignore it take her to another vet if you have to for a second opinion!. Hopefully she hasn't swallowed anything toxic like a fruit pit or something!. Good Luck!. I'll pray for her as i'm sure she is as cute as a button!.

It can also mean that her period is starting if she hasn't had her menstrual cycle yet!. Its always best to be sure though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your vet and if you are still worried you could always go to another vet and get a second opinion!. On the other hand unless she has fixed, it may be that she is starting her first heat!. But definitely talk to your vet!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
