Can a person recover from paralysis?!
Question: Can a person recover from paralysis!?
For example, someone who has been paralyzed from the neck down, can they slowly recover!? If so, how!? I'm not paralyzed or anything I'm just curious!. Thanks! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
It depends on the cause of the paralysis!. If the paralysis occurs from an injury directly to a nerve, the nerves have very limited ability to recover!. If the paralysis is caused by pressure on a nerve or some type of problem with neurotransmitters, a patient can recover completely if the underlying cause is treatable!.
The prospects for recovery from injury to a nerve are improving, but they have a long way to go!. The use of electrical nerve stimulation has helped some people regain limited use of nerves, and stem cell research has found a potential pathway for regenerating nerve tissue (but conservative Christians have successfully convinced the US government to pass laws prohibiting funding for stem cell research)Www@Answer-Health@Com
