TB-PCR test and AKT-4 course of tablets.?!
Question: TB-PCR test and AKT-4 course of tablets!.!?
Hi,
I was recently diagnosed with TB of the bladder through this test called TB-PCR test which was POSITIVE!.
I have been put on AKT-4 course of medicine for 2 months initially by my urologist!.
Is this the cause of my frequent urination and abdominal pain!? I thought it was because I had INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS!.
My doctor told me that the FIRST PRIOTITY is to cure this TB condition!. I wonder HOW I contracted it!
I have been told that is NO alternative to this!. I am terrified of the side effects! Vision impairment, liver damage etc!.
Does anyone out there have TB of the BLADDER!? Were you told to do a LIVER FUNCTION TEST and an EYE TEST!? My doctor did not ask for these!.

Dont ever stop the treatment you need to take it for 9 months!.
Investigate cause of abdominal pain, be sure that the treatment taken is ok and you are responding to it!. Extra Pulmonary case are little bit tough!.
Other wise you need to go in for 2nd line of managment!.
But nothing to worry just stick to one physician and a good physician who has lots of expertise in such cases(Extra Pulmonary)!. Till then carry on with as advised!.

Tuberculosis is a fairly common disease in India, and the treatment you've been advised is absolutely correct!. Side effects, though known, are quite rare!. You should also take Vitamin B6 with all Anti-tuberculosis medicines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
