Stage 4 LMS uterine cancer? What are the chances of survival?!
Question: Stage 4 LMS uterine cancer!? What are the chances of survival!?
Family member has stage 4 leilmyosarcoma (LMS) cancer, which means that is has metastasized from the uterus to one of her lungs!. That was operated on in March and part of her left lung was removed!. She is now on chemotherapy and no more tumors have been found since then!.

Stage IV does not mean the cancer is terminal !. !. it refers to treatment !. !. a stage 1 cancer is not treated the same way a Stage IV is treated!.
Sarcoma is also different than other types of cancer!. It is critical that your family member be treated at a sarcoma center or by a sarcoma specialist and not a generalized oncologist!. The best chance for survival at this stage is to go to a designated comprehensive cancer center that has a sarcoma center!. These are the places that are doing the research and will know all the latest treatments!.

Your relative needs to be constantly vigil as sarcoma is known to reoccur!. It does not always reoccur but it is highly likely!. She will need to be monitored for reoccurence for two or three years every six months !. !.as long as nothing appears she would than go once a year !. !. but she should always be aware that it could come back and be prepared to tackle it!.

My dad was classified as a stage four cancer patient, and he just went into remission after one year from being diagnosed !. I know it might seem odd, but being positive towards life and not letting it consume you is a great way to fight off cancer!. Just keep positive, it will help the healing process!. In order for the person to be declared "cancer free" is after ten years of remission, in which no more signs of the cancer have shown up!. Stage 4 means other sites are involved, in addition to where it started!. If the mets site was the lung and the cancer was removed from the lung, it sounds like she is cancer free!. Find out if there were other metastatic sites involved that the patient needs to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
