Question: Can you do these things if you have epilepsy!?
I have it and if i dont grow out of it, and i was wondering if it can prevent me from:
getting my license
going on rides
drinking alcohol
going to clubs

I have Epilepsy!. I live in the UK!.
Here you must be seizure free for 1 year before you can get your driving licence!.
You can go on rides - it just depends what triggers your seizures!. Here in the UK, at theme parks, i can avoid queueing by going onto the ride through the exit gate - i just show them proof that i have Epilepsy!.
Again drinking alcohol - it alld epends on your triggers, i drink alcohol in moderation ( a few glasses of wine on a night out) and i'm prefectly fine!. Alcohol is not a trigger for my seizures!.
Going to clubs - again depends on your seizures!. If you ahve been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy - then you may want to avoid strobe lights!. I dont have photosensitive Epilepsy so i'm fine going into clubs etc, i do find that strobe lights or flickering lights will give me a migraine though and my neurologist told me that by closing one eye limits the amount of light that the barin has to try and process - therefore reducing the possibility of a seizure!.
Simply, apart from the driving issue, everything else is about identifying your trigger!. For me, tiredness is a trigger and if i dont get about 5 hours sleep then i will have a seizure!. ISince i learnt tiredness is a factor, i have been seizure free for around 9 months!. It can take a while to get the right medication though too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your epilepsy is well controlled, you can do all of the above!. There may be some limitations on driving like already mentioned, no driving at night but you can live a normal life if it is well controlled!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes if you have a seizure in a six month period you cant drive!. you may not be able to ride on rides if you have active seizures!. drinking alcohol can induce them with certain patients and cant be mixed with meds!. clubs have certain flashing lights that can produce seizures, and sun flashing in between trees can do that too!. contact epilepsy foundation!. good luck! feel free to talk to me!. i have seizures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
getting ur license - i'm not sure i think u can but should avoid night driving
i know that going to clubs is probably a very dumb decision because of the strobe lights and all that- could set it off easily
i think that u should really consult with ur dr about these questions because he knows ur specific case and will be able to tell u alot better than anyone here!Www@Answer-Health@Com
