Question: Is minocycline 100mg capsule safe to take every day for more than a month !?
My dermatologist prescribed me 30 capsules 100mg each with 6 refills, I have been taking one daily for more than a month!. I just learned that it is an antibiotic, My stomach has not been so good since last week, I am defecating liquid, Moreover, I got strep throat two weeks ago so I had to take this with combination of Amoxilin for 10 days!. I got minocycline prescribed because of acne, my face is not clean but new pimples have not been coming up!. Can I quit taking this capsule !? If not, is it safe to take this antibiotic for months !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

two things!.!.!.!. when you got strep throat did you tell the doctor that you where taking the other meds and when you where having the side effects from the first medication did you inform the dermatologist!? never quit taking a med until a doctor tells you to and discuss all meds with all doctors what you are taking!. call them both and let them know/tell them what you asked here asap!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Going off antibiotics can make you resistant later!. Don't go off without checking with your doc!. It's very common to be prescribed long-term antibiotics for Acne!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
