I wouldn't presume to tell you that nothing is wrong or that this is just a minor case of acid reflux or heartburn, though there's a good chance that's the case!.

That being said, I would suggest that you consult your physician at the very least and consider calling a nurse or going to the ER if your symptoms grow worse!.

Because you have had surgery recently, there is the very unlikely possibility that you are experiencing some sort of post operation internal trauma!.

I wouldn't think that this is an ulcer if it is accompanied by heartburn!. There is a very good chance that your stomach is currently experiencing an increase in its acidity, as many drugs actually contain HCl as an active component to speed digestion of the drug!.

Are you supposed to be eating with your medication!? It's important to comply with the requirements of your meds, because that alone can do a number on you!.

Well, I'm sure that you will be alright, but in these situations of post-op you should be diligent and take the safe road!.

Hope that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are so many things it could be!. pain killers (esp!. on an empty stomach), maybe you are lactose in tolerant and can't eat dairy (i!.e!. pizza), or maybe the pizza gave you heartburn and indigestion, or if you are having gas pains--those can be very painful, you could be internalizing stress, you could have an ulcer!. i mean there are so many things!. good for you that you are going to see doc!. about it though!. feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

about a month ago i had an uncomfortable burning in my stomach that it made it so hard to even sleep!. i went to the doctors and my doctor said its possible that there is too much acid in my stomach!. she gave me previcid!.!. a drug that turns off acid pumps in the stomach!.!. i took it for 30 days!. it helped and i feel fine now

sounds like an acid problem but i didnt have to use the bathroom like you so i may be wrong!. hope you feel better good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't know how long you've been taking the pain meds but they can give you heartburn!. They can also make you VERY sick!. My husband, for instance, can't take any codeine or Vicodin or anything like that!. If he does, he throws up all over the place and gets diarrhea!. Even when he was in the hospital and they gave him pain medication by injection, they had to also give him something for the nausea and to counteract the side effects he suffers from the pain meds!. On another note, he was once prescribed demerol pills for pain BUT the doctor told him to take 50mg!. of Benadryl capsules with it!. I am IN NO WAY giving you medical advice and I am IN NO WAY telling you to do this!. I am only saying that this happened to my husband and this is what he had to do!. To this day, he can't take pain meds without getting sick!. Usually has to suffer through the pain of herniated discs by taking ibuprofen (Motrin) and things like that!.

It's very possible that the pain meds are making you sick and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with having Pizza Hut today!. Or, the tomato sauce on the pizza might have been too acidic for your stomach right now, with it already being irritated by the pain medication you take and that could have caused the burning, etc!. Try to stay away from acid containing foods like tomatoes and citrus and things like that for now!.

Of course, it's not a bad idea to check with your doctor too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
