Question: What finger do you prick!?
okay so I am thinking about testing myself and I saw that we have a blood tester thingy for my grandpa and i know how to use it!. I have all the symptoms of type 1 diabetes, and I'm planning on testing tomorrow after my fast"sleep"!. The doctor didn't test for my physical but I want to know!.But what finger on what hand do i use to prick it!?
And when I do what is the score that should set off a ringer of I have diabetes!?!?!?

no i really do think i have it, I am thirsty and hungry and i'm not gaining any weight!. Sort rf loosing it!. Always tired!. Sometimes I shake if I don't eat like every 2 hours!. I also get headaches, and sometimes feel like throwing up!. So I want to know what to do,

You should prick any finger on the SIDE, along where your nail grows!. That will hurt much less than the finger pad!. Your numbers should be between 80-120!. If they're not, report back and we'll go from there!. If they're a lot lower, you're having hypoglycemia, which is a different (although possibly connected) problem!. If you're a lot above 120 first thing in the morning, you really NEED to see a Doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Any finger!.!.you rotate them so you do not bruise or get to sensitive in one place!. Do it on the side of the finger!.!.less sensitve than the finger tip!. Good luck!
More accurately, if you are concerned, see a Dr!. for a more comprehensive lab panel!. Just because your blood sugar level might be okay on one particular day, does not always mean it is okay!. A blood lab workup from a Dr!. can give you a bigger picture!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

any one that has blood in it, it doesnt matter!.As for your sugar rate!? Look at the booklet that comes with the tester, Some time people get like the opposite, alot like your symtoms ,They need some thing sweet!.My boyfriend has that, he gets light headed!.So he keeps these tablets close, They are called glucose tablets!. There about the size of a quarter!. and thick!.and sweet!. they pick him up right away!.Get info!. over thephone from heath department!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Any finger will do, but there are no bells and whistles in the meter!. You'll eventually use all of them anyway!. Your symptoms sound like you're diabetic, so it's most important to see a doctor so you can start treatment if needed as soon as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
All of them!. It's important to rotate to prevent wounds, bruising, and stuff like that!. Plus it would become more painful if you used the same finger over and over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Why oh why do you young people insist on trying this procedure as a way of self diagnosing this VERY serious condition!.
The test you are going to do is specifically for diabetics to be able to monitor and control their condition NOT to diagnose!.
If it's high what are you going to do!?!?
If you are American I know it costs to go to the doctor but what happens when you get a high reading!?!?
You will go to the doctors so GO NOW!!!!
You need a simple test called either a fasting blood glucose or a glucose tolerance test!. These are broadly quite similar but very good diagnostic tools!. YOU can not do this by using your grandpa's device so go get the test done by a professional!. The test needs veinous blood which only a doctor or nurse can take!. They may do a test called a HgbA1c a Haemoglobin A1c test shows the average blood glucose in your Haemoglobin for the past three months or so!. It's also a very good test but only the doctor can do it or a nurse!.
What cost a blood test MUCH cheaper than a stay for a fortnight in hospital or worse a coffin!.
IF you really REALLY want to check then read my many other pieces of advice on checking by doing the dip and lick test!.
OR buy some DiaStix they are available from most Pharmacists or ask them the name you might use in the US it will be something like LabStix or Diastixfor a nominal amount and test your urine!.
If you dip and lick you simply pee on your finger and shake off the excess then lick it!. IF it tastes sweet then get yourself to the doctors URGENTLY this is the way nurses and doctors checked patients at the turn of the 19th Century!. they dipped and licked their patients urine all the time!.
