How likely is it that I'm HIV-positive? Do they check for HIV in pregnant wo!

Question: How likely is it that I'm HIV-positive!? Do they check for HIV in pregnant women!?
So when I was 18 (I'm 20 now) I had sex with a man who claimed to have been with a few women!. Not exactly sure how many!. I don't know if I believe him or not!. We didn't really talk that often!.!.!. kind of like a repetitive one-night-stand!. He had 2 children!.!.!. both from a different woman!.

Also!.!.!. I've been driving myself crazy lately, obsessing over his past!.!.!. wondering if he had contracted HIV from those women that he supposedly was with!. I read that some of the symptoms are canker sores and diarrhea!. I've had a canker sore on my top gum ever since last year (I did have a root canal - maybe that has something to do with it!?) And I haven't had diarrhea, per se, but my stool is rarely solid!.
Is it possible it could be from the huge amount of stress I'm under at the moment!? Do you think I'm being silly for worrying about this!? Every time I hear anything about AIDS or HIV I start to feel sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, HIV is not easy to catch!. You had unprotected sex and you put yourself in risk!. How much is the risk!? It is hard to say!. Unprotected vaginal sex carries a risk of 1 to 1000 for a single episode!. If you had more than one exposure, then your risk is higher than that!. About your symptoms, the symptoms mean nothing!. They could be due to stress and anxiety!. If you had only one exposure with this man, the chances are pretty low that you contracted HIV from him!.

I would suggest to go and get tested!. The test is easy to do and it takes about 1 hour for the result to come back!. I would say you are most probably negative!. But any unprotected exposure has to be confirmed by a test!. When you get your negative result (which is conclusive by now), then put this incident behind you and move on with your life!. Dont try to assess your symptoms and search on the internet for the symptoms!. The only way is to get tested to get a peace of mind!.

Stay safe and always use protection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

how likely!? 50/50
only a test would determin!. HIV symptoms are very vague and general!. You can have a sore on your gum for many reasons!. Diarhhea, too!.
Pregnant women are offered an HIV test!. you can decline it if you do not wish to, but it's strongly advisable because you can help prevent the infection to spread to your baby, by having a ceasarian delivery rather than the normal delivery and not breast feeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To answer your first question, every doctor in the US checks for HIV in pregnant women because of the problems it could cause for the fetus!. If you haven't been with this guy in a while, and you have been tested and tested negative, then I think you are worrying needlessly!. If not then get tested and use protection in the future encounters with any partner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are probably just freaking yourself out, but I would go to the doctor just to make sure! It would at least help you stop worrying! GL!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're automatically tested for HIV when you are pregnant!.

I'm the same way!. I'm always so paranoid but I've come to the conclusion that we'll all die of something eventually!. Can't sit around stressing!. Even virgin's can be HIV Positive!. There are other ways to contract it besides sex and needles!. You live longer with HIV than you do with most cancers!. Right now the average is 24 years!. In 24 years that average will be 34 or 44 years!. You could get wrapped around a tree tomorrow! Stop stressing!. Canker sores!.!.!.very common!. You probably have IBS from stress!.

Chances of getting HIV from an HIV Positive man from one sexual encounter is 1 in 1000!. Chances of a gay man getting HIV from an HIV Positive man is 1 in 10!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

didnt see anywhere u say ur pregnat but every pregnant woman has to be tested for HIV en its common in al hospitals,

en another thing if you had unprotected sex with an active men ur are probablly HIV positive,, you can tell anyway by just looking at a person or all the things ur saying but the only simple thing to proof all this wrong is have a HIV test, thisis the only way u will be happy en move one happly without stress but without knowing u will always be sesitive even when u have a cold!.

So get the test en if you are Positive you can still live longer as ther are medicines not to cure but let u stay longer!.
