Spinal Muscular Atrophy- i have type 2, it means as i grow older my muscles get weaker, i am in a motorized wheelchair and rely on others to do everything for me!. I even find things such as taking the lid off a pen impossible at times!. People with SMA also have weak lungs and are unable to cough effectively so this means that a simple cold can often lead to pneumonia and weeks in hospital with i!.v's, nebs, physio and sometimes even need a breathing machine to breathe for them!. SMA type one is the number one genetic killer of children under 2 years old and 1 in 40 people carry the gene for SMA!. Although diseases such as cancer are awful, SMA is just as bad maybe even worse because there are no treatments or cures and the babies who are unlucky enough to have type one usually die before they are two, all children deserve a chance but these babies are not given this chance!. There needs to be more awareness of SMA because most people have never heard about it!. Hopefully the more people that know about SMA the more they will help to raise money to find treatments and cures for this disease!.

As bad as cancer is, I would have to say Parkinson's disease!.
My grandfather had it!.
Not being able to walk under your own power or not being able to feed yourself due to your hands shaking, having someone wipe away your dribble from your mouth, or not being able to talk without slurring your words - yet still having a healthy, productive mind!. To me, that would be awful!.
Spending your last days in a nursing home, is not something to look forward to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cancer!. A very cruel disease that knows no bounds!. We all know a family it has touched whether an elderley person, young man or woman, child or baby!. Nobody is exempt!.
Why!? Because it destroys families when a young mother or father dies with cancer leaving their spouse or partner to bring up several children!. I think that is very, very sad!.
I think I should say what an excellent job the cancer experts are doing in their advances in the disease and I know they are working hard!. But too many people are still dying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Alzheimer's disease!
Its such a cruel disease - when someone is in early stages they know they are loosing their mind and it can be very scary and confusing!.

I would say alzeimers and cancer!. I can't imagine forgetting who I am and all my loved ones!.!. without memories we seize to exist!. Cancer is a given for the pain and agony it causes as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
