Ok so I had this freak accident dissecting a cat today...?!
Question: Ok so I had this freak accident dissecting a cat today!.!.!.!?
It's for my summer A & P class and the scalpel we were using to dissect it punctured my finger!. Gross!. So, I know I need a tetanus shot but considering the scalpel was being used on a dead cat prior to puncturing my finger, could there be anything other than tetanus I'd be exposed to!? The nurse at the school only recommended that one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the cat was soaked in preservatives, there's probably almost no chance of picking up an infection from the cat!. Tetanus is always a risk because the bacterial occur nearly everywhere in soil, and the bacteria get dragged into buildings from people's shoes!. So, there's not much else to worry about unless the cat was not preserved!. Even if the cat was not preserved, there still is a very low chance of getting some type of infection since humans and cats do not have many diseases in common!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
