If your ring band doesn't completely touch your skin all the way around (like it has intricate designs or an artistic band where the middle of the band, or top of the band by the stone is raised up) water, sweat, & moisture can get underneath the band & into those "raised" areas and the moisture gets trapped by the band & chaps the skin underneath!. I had a ring like this & had to start always taking it off when showering!. Make sure to thoroughly dry your finger before putting the ring back on!. In the meantime, just apply good lotion to the cracked skin (like aquaphillic) and don't wear the ring until the skin heals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your putting lotion on your hands make sure you take your ring off and apply lotion there as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
