I can't believe Tin S, one of the Yahoo! Answer people who said, "Nothing!. I quit for 15 yrs!. Went to Thailand and decided to drink internationally!. I have drank for 10 years again!. And no big thing!."

Is it just me who know that when a "sober" alcoholic has a drink, that could well be the end of that person being sober!. They might nut suffer for convulsions and stuff like that after their drink but what "might" happen to them immediatly after taking that drink is that they will possibly again be an alcoholic --- forget about the sober part!.

In fact, I worked with a girl who also became my friend!. She had a case history of alcoholism!. She had the flu or something and didn't give any thought to buying cough medicine and other helpful things that alleviate flu symptoms!. Well, from what she told me, once she had some of the cough medicine which contained alcohol (as many cough medicines do), she then craved it and her husband found her in the kitchen drinking the entire bottle!. I'm NOT kidding!. True story!. Thereafter, she had to be careful to check everything she bought in that respect!. I remember once even going to my pharmacist for her and asking him for a non-alcohol product (cough medicine, I think it was)!. It's a never ending battle being an alcoholic, from what I've seen and heard!. There is never a RECOVERED alcoholic, as you hear all the time --- only RECOVERING alcoholics!. That is because they can so easily slip off the wagon suffer from that horrible disease again !.!.!.!. and again !.!.!.!. and again sometimes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From what i understand it just means that all their work to get rid of the habit has literally been washed away!.!.all the withdrawals they had will come back because it will just be easier for them to have a drink!.
Thats why even when someone has been an alchololic for 5 years (for example) and they dont touch a drop for 20 years or whatever then they still class themselves as an alcoholic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
