Recovery from appendectomy takes a few weeks!. Doctors usually prescribe pain medication and ask patients to limit physical activity!. Recovery from laparoscopic appendectomy is generally faster, but limiting strenuous activity may still be necessary for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery!. Most people treated for appendicitis recover excellently and rarely need to make any changes in their diet, exercise, or lifestyle!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should recover in a few weeks, but make sure to ask your doctor about what activities you should be engaging in!. Yes, you will recover more slowly than a younger child -- say 8 or 9 -- but you should still recover more quickly than an adult!. The older you are, the more slowly you recover from surgery!. That's just a fact of life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It took my daughter (who is 16) 2-3 weeks to recover fully but she was still able to go out and do stuff even after the 1st week! It'll be fine, sweety - go out and have fun!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
