Answers:
Hot, moist compresses will cause early stage boils to shrink and disappear and bring more mature ones to the surface where they can drain!. Antibiotics will not cause existing boils to go away faster but may reduce recurrence!. Washing with Hibiclens will also reduce recurrence of boils caused by bacteria!. Disinfectants like hydrogen peroxide, betadine and alcohol will not help an existing or opened boil; in fact they kill the body's healing cells better than they kill germs!. Bacitracin ointment covered by a bandage will speed healing of any sore, including an opened boil!. Do not use Neosporin or anything containing neomycin because this can cause a rash that looks just like an infection!.

If you have frequent boils, the underlying cause should be found and corrected!. Untreated or undertreated diabetes can cause frequent large boils or abscesses!. Not all boils are caused by infection and it is difficult to tell whether the pus that drains contains bacteria or is sterile!. If You have boils recur at the exact same place, especially if the drainage is smelly and cheesy, this could be an epidermal inclusion cyst which needs to have the sack removed to stop recurrence!. If you get clusters of boils (especially in the armpits or groin) on skin that has multiple, large blackheads, this is hidradenitis suppurativa, which requires minor to major surgical intervention!. More common is cystic acne, which you should not just suffer!. It can be effectively treated by a doctor and the treatment would be covered by insurance!. The treatment of scars caused by acne cysts is usually not covered by insurance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Warm, moist compresses and warm baths with Epsom salts have always worked best for me!. Eventually they will draw the infection out of the boil and it will rupture on it's own and when that happens I apply a antibiotic cream such as Neosporin with Pain Relief and cover the open sore with a Band-Aid!.

DO NOT lance it yourself!. Get yourself over to the doctor if they're that painful and the doctor can lance it and prescribe antibiotic creams or oral antibiotics if necessary!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You didn't say if they are on your face or on your body!.
A doctor would probably prescribe antibiotics, which might clear the condition temporarily, but the symptoms would come back eventually,so bear that in mind!.

Have you noticed if it clears at the seaside, especially if you spend a lot of time in sea water!? If yes, then bathe in seasalt daily!. A powerful product I would recommend is Aromair salt (buy it from Aromair!.co!.uk)

If just on your face,a wash with salyciclic acid and a toner and moisturiser!. Ask any chemist!.Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
