Suggest to your dad that any monitor that uses test strips that don't require a larger sample of blood is best!.
The multi-clix lancet device is one of the best on the market!. Made by Accu chek diabetic supplies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i use the optium omega but i'm not sure what types you can get where you are!.
the only painful part is the "finger pricker" but if you use a fresh needle each time it shouldn't hurt as much and also have a look at the type of needles you can get for getting blood from the finger!. you should be able to get slim/fine ones!. i cant remember the ones i use (sorry)
oh also!.!.!.dont get the blood "sample" from the front/pad of the finger (full of nerves and after a while/using it alot you can lose sensation in the tips/that part of the finger)!. use the side up along the nail!.!.!.just dont get too close to the nail tho coz that REALLY hurts
hope this helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

I am not sure what defibulation has to do with blood glucose machines!.
It's not the machine that hurts!.It's the lancing device!.
Make sure to use the sides - not middle - of your fingers for less pain and more blood!.
I hope that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
