Answers:
Type 1 is kinda like destiny!.
Your pancreas stops making insulin, and you blood sugar rises, causeing you for urinate more frequently, because your body need to get rid of the sugar somehow!. Then you are always thirsty, because you body need to replenish the liquids lost from peeing so much!. Then when they put you on insulin, and you blood sugar goes down, and you dont have to pee and drink so much!.

So Type 1 has nothing to do with you, just your pancreas stops working!.

You are referring to Type 2 Diabetes and the most common cause is obesity, poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle!. Genetic factors also play a role, so if one or both of your parents develop Type 2 Diabetes, it's more likely that you will as well!. Following a healthy diet, maintaining a normal weight and staying active will help decrease your risk!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best way to tell is to see your doctor and have your blood work done!. Additionally, if are pre-diabetic or diabetic all together, only a doctor with the proper lab results can determine that!.

The most pronounced symptoms are: extreme sleepiness after eating, dizziness, extreme thirst with frequent urination, blurred vision or loss of vision, persistent foot problems like fungal infections to name a few!.

The sooner you get it checked the better!. With type 2 which is the most common it won't kill you immediately, and your body does produce insulin but has become resistant to it!. but it will do long term damage to your vascular and nervous system resulting in shortened life span!. Type 1 on the other hand is from lack of insulin from the pancreas!. VERY dangerous!. Requires very close monitoring and insulin to be administered regularly!.

Exercise and healthy food choices are the key!. I no longer have symptoms of type 2!. I lift weights and do cardio daily for about an hour!. It has decreased my insulin resistance dramatically!. Exercise and healthy eating is are key factors in controlling it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is what medical researchers would love to know!. They are researching to see if they can figure it out!.

It does not have any thing at all to do with food choices, couch potatoism, weight or any of that!. It most probably has more to do with our genetics than anything else!. But that is up for grabs also!.

This site may give you more insight to what causes it to develop than anything else:
