Answers:
Yes you likely have one, possibly two sleep disorders!.
When you talk of waking wiht a rapid heart beat I wonder if you temporarily stop breathing in your sleep (sleep apnoea)!. Being woken several times in the night doesn't allow you to get the quality of sleep you need so of course you would be tired!. That you are aching all over may or may not be related!.
Without meaning to offend are you overweight!? I ask as this is both a factor which can lead to sleep apnea, and also osteoarthritis, where the joints of the body become damaged!. This can lead to daytime stiffness and pain!.
Regarding the paralysis, this is a common yet poorly researched occurance in many people!. For most it happents rarely!. For some it is a frequent event!. What has happened is your mind has woken before your body, and your body is genuinely paralyzed as happens to us all when we dream, to prevent us acting out our dreams!. The paralysis can be terrifying, and the restriction of breathing muscles may make you feel you cannot breathe well!. As you are also partly asleep, although conscious, you may hallucinate or have sensations of 'presences' in the room!. The state passes as full consciousness returns!. I am a very frequent sufferer from this myself and for decades did not tell my doctor!. Now I have other problems and am being seen by a neurologist, and found the courage to mention it to them!. I am now awaiting an appointment at a sleep clinic!.
To help with your symptoms try not to eat a heavy meal before sleeping, do not sleep on your back, try not to get overtired and maybe force yourself to stay awake during the day to get into a regular nightime sleep routine, reduce weight if necessary, and most importantly, get a medical checkup!. It would make sense to have an ECG and maybe a heart echo to ensure there is not a cardiac element to this, or that the condition itself is not putting you in danger of heart problems!. Unlikely, but this must be ruled out!. If your doctor is not amenable, and many know little on this subject, ask anyway for a referral to a sleep clinic!. This is NOT a mental health problem!. You may have stresses in your life, which certainly would not help, but sleep disorders are neurological and biochemical in nature, and I would be cautious of any doctor who mentions 'anxiety' or 'depression' as a direct result of asking about this, unless you already have been properly diagnosed with these conditions!. I am endlessly frustrated into the lack of research into sleep paralysis, and hope my sleep clinic will know more, but my expectations are not high!.
Get the achiness checked out, this could be a sign of some other systemic problem!. Blood tests and a referral to an orthopedic specialist may be the way forward, depends on the nature of your symptoms, eg!. an autoimmune profile may be indicated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think definitely you should see a doctor!. Hurting after having a rapid heart beat doesn't sound like a good thing!. I'm also wondering about the temporary paralyzation!. Is is a case of being not fully awake yet, or something more!? I think you really need to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only way you can know for sure is to talk to your doctor about having a sleep study done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
