Answers:
A fasting (that means truly fasted, no coffee, not anything) glucose of 126 or higher qualifies as diabetic!. Your cholesterol profile isn't so bad actually, especially with your LDL/HDL ratio being so low (1!.7)!. On the other hand your triglycerides are high which suggests metabolic syndrome!. Your numbers are pretty classic for someone who is overweight!. If you are, your most potent treatment is weight loss!. See your doctor!.!.!. the person who should be looking at your labs!. LDL( bad cholesterol) should be 100 or less
HDL (good cholesterol) should be at least 35mg/dl (milligrams per deciliter)
Triglycerides should be less then 200

Fasting blood glucose for diabetics is 126 or higher according to the American Diabetics Association!. Pre-diabetics is 110-125!. Diabetic is 126-140!. You should not eat for at least 8 hours before your test!. If your reading is at least 126 or higher in two differant tests on two differant days, then you probably have diabetes!.

There are some numbers for you!. I assume your doctor has or will tell you more about it!. Otherwise, you should schedule an appointment with someone who will!. Aside from your test results, some risk factors are: family history, age, weight, and race!.

If there is anyone in your immediate family with diabetes, that raises your chances of having it also!. It tends to be people over the age of 40 that get type two!. Type 1 is rarely diagnose after age 30!. (Though it is possible, because my boyfriend became type 1 diabetic after age 30!.) Type 1 is insilin dependant!. Type 2 People that are overweight have a higher risk factor!. African americans, native americans, and asians have higher chances of becoming type 2 diabetic!. Type 1 tends to be caucasions!.

Symptoms include: excessive thirst, increased appetite, frequent urination, fatigue, blurred vision, frequent infections, tingling in your hands and feet, sexual dysfuntion!. Signs of diabetes are usually subtle!.

Diabetes is incurable at the moment!. So don't assume that it will get better!. Diabetes with your fasting blood glucose level can be controlled with diet and exercise at the least!. Higher glucose levels require drugs, occasional insilin, or 24 hour insilin coverage!.

I hope that helps some!.
