Could it be Genital Herpes?!

Question: Could it be Genital Herpes!?
Here is the run down!. About one year ago I have protected sex with someone and went to the doctor to get checked, just did the piss test and received no results of having an std!. I had stopped drinking but then one night a friend brings over a bottle of vodka and I black out, wake up and never drank again!.

Two weeks later I notice a rash between the thigh and testicles, sort of itchy but just looked like a normal rash on both sides on the bordering region!. It goes away after a short time, and the doctor diagnoses it as jock itch after it has disappeared!. I then get irritation and it's very itchy in the testicle area and the base of the penis, I then notice a single pimple in the mid shaft region of the testicle!. I also experience body aches(but then again I recently had started working 12 hour shifts standing and moving heavy objects)!. I won't be able to diagnose weeks away due to being at a remote part of the country!. Does this sound like herpes, if it is any STD I would say it's herpes, I've come to terms with it and would like to ask the yahoo public opinion!.

This sounds like jock itch to me!. I agree that IF It is an STD, it is herpes, but it doesn't sound quite like herpes!.

First of all, if you get a herpes outbreak over a large area - or even a small enough herpes outbreak to be able to see it, it will hurt!. A lot!. Like a paper cut, not like a bruise or a rash!. You talk about irritation and a rash and this doesn't sound like herpes!. It sounds like jock itch!.

Second, with herpes you will only get body aches during the very first outbreak, since your body has no antibodies at that point and is putting every effort into creating them!. I've never heard of anyone getting body aches as a repeating symptom!. It's possible, but unlikely!.

The STD piss test won't tell you about herpes!. It is ideally diagnosed from a swab test of of the lesions, or from a blood test!. And a condom won't protect you much against herpes, since it is spread through skin-to-skin contact!.

If you get a blood test when you go the doc, expect it to come back positive because almost everyone has oral herpes!. Fifty to eighty percent of adults have it!. A blood test can't tell you WHERE you have herpes, so it can be difficult to interpret!.

For details on herpes, how it is spread, and the symptoms, I'd recommend the website below!. And don't trust everything you read on Y!A!. Lots of these folks are real yahoos!.

The only way to find out for sure if you have herpes is to be tested specifically for it!.

Be sure and ask for it by name because it's not included in the routine STD testing process!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it was herps it would come out in blisters!. And with the way you explain it it just seems like a rash!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it sounds like herpes!. Herpes look like cold sores - a round red circle with a whitish yellow center!. They have an open sore, then start to heal up and itch!. I think they are very painful as well!.

Herpes does have other things that go along with it like fevers and body aches!. Look up some pics of herpes and see if it looks like the pimple you have on your penis!. By the way, a urine test would not detect herpes!. I think only a blood test would do so since it's a virus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
