My friend just discovered that he was Lactose Intolerant, can he ever eat dairy with ease again!? Are there medications that a doctor can prescribe or his he forever temped by cheese!? :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

First there is Lactaid Milk, which has the enzymes in it that you are lacking, so you can have cereal and other things like mashed potatos with milk and not get the cramps, gas, and diahrea!.!.!.!.The there is Lactaid caplet pills!.!.!. you eat one or two of these pills before eating pizza or other food that gives you a problem and you're good to go!.!.!.
also there are gas/bloating pills you can take that help tremendously!.!. you can buy the Equate, walmart brand and this can help with gas issues!.!.!.You don't need any prescription for these items!.!.!.

Lactose Intolerance is the body's inability to digest Lactose a sugar often found in dairy products!. Your friend can try Lactaid which is a low lactose or lactose free milk, also they now make cheese made out of soy milk!. My son is lactose intolerant and loves the Lactaid and Silk products!. Most people who are lactose intolerant can tolerate small amounts of hard cheeses atleast a couple of times a week as long as they moderate their lactose intake in other products!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think there is any cheeses without dairy in them!. Their is special milk for those who are lactose intolerant!. He can find them at a local grocery store!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
