Make sure your ratio of HDL to total is good!. Worry about triglycerides more!. They are easily lowered by eating a low carb diet!. High fat is also good if you avoid trans-fats and rancid vegetable oils!. Most vegetable oils are unstable due to the double bonds and thus turn rancid easily!. Heating as in deep frying is fatal, but you already know deep fat frying is bad, you just did not know why!. Follow the docs advice and you will be on statin drugs for sure!. The low fat diet DOES NOT WORK!. Ask them how many patients lower their cholesterol with diet alone!. When the diet does not work they claim it is genetic!. The only genetic high cholesterol is always in the 400 plus range!.

Doc's recommend a low fat diet, no sugars, low sodium, plan food really!. One diet or new lifestyle change that is catching on is the Raw Food diet, you eat fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, water!. It lowers your bad Chl and raises the good Chl!. My husband just found out he needs to lower his Chl, on the verge of being diabetic!. After much research we have decided to go Raw!. Research this diet yourself, it may not be for you, but after researching it you might find like us, it will be the easiest way to get into good health!.
