Answers:

Okay!.

1st: It depends if you look on the bright side of things or not, If you say "oh i hate having diabetes, im not going to check my blood, blah blah blah" it will change your life, because you will be in the hospital most of the time!. When I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Type 1, the first thing they told me, and KEPT telling me, was that if i took care of myself, i would be like everyone else!. And I am!. If im with my friends, and were cheerleading, and i feel low, they know what to do!. And im not ashamed to hide it from them!. I just have to remember to check my blood, and dose for what im eating [: I wear a Animas 2020 pump, which makes life so much easier!. A pump is a beeper looking thing that has a tube going from it to a inset/site on your stomach!. I just enter carbs and my bloodsugar and it automatically doses for me, instead of taking shots!.

2nd: Type 1 Diabetes is a disorder in which the body does not produce insulin (a hormone that aids in moving sugar from the blood to the cells)!. This type of diabetes can be due to a virus or autoimmune disorder in which the body does not recognize an organ as its own and attacks it!. In this case the body attacks an organ known as the pancreas where insulin is made!. This type of diabetes is usually diagnosed before age 40
Type 2 Diabetes occurs when insulin that the body produces is less efficient at moving sugar out of the bloodstream!. Some sugar is moved out of the blood, just not as effectively compared to a person with normal insulin efficiency!. High blood sugar is a result of this!. Type 2 Diabetes used to be thought of as the adult onset type of diabetes!. However, an alarming rate of children are now being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes!.

3rd: Personally, i think that type 1 is harder to deal with, only because its a disease you cant get rid of unless they find a cure!. And insulin is not a cure!. People with type 2, can excersize and watch what they eat, and they can lose it, type 1 kids cant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What is a normality of one's life!? What's normal!? What would be considered "not normal"!? There are so many different diseases, disorders, medical conditions, etc!. that affecting normalacy of life is really a relative term!.

I have been a Type I diabetic for almost 33 years now (in one month it will be that long since I was diagnosed) and to me being a diabetic is "normal" I don't recall any different way of living!. it's normal to check blood sugars and inject insulin and watch what I eat, etc!.

As someone else mentioned, Type I diabetes is when the pancreas stops secreting insulin into the bloodstream and is classified as an autoimmune disease!. A type 1 diabetic MUST take insulin!.
A type 2 diabetic has a pancreas that is not working properly, usually due to obesity!. A person diagnosed with type 2 diabetes may not be required to take insulin and might control the diabetes with oral medication, insulin or a combination of both!. Also, a type 2 diabetic can "reverse" their diagnosis (get their pancrease to work properly) by losing weight, exercising and eating properly!. Whereas a Type I diabetic will always have to take insulin (at least until a cure is identified)!.

As for which of the two is harder to deal with - it again is all relative and dependent on the individual person!. You can't compare the two for relevance because they are two different medical conditions!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes is simple!. Type 1 - your body isn't producing insulin because your body attacks the cells carrying it (an autoimmune disease)!. Type 2 - your body doesn't know how to use the insulin it has, it has difficulty letting the insulin into the cells (this disease is easier to prevent)!.

Really both change life a little bit but shouldn't prevent someone from living a "normal" life!. If the person doesn't take good care of their blood sugars and a person lets themselves go blind or have to have a leg aputated obviously this will put a little damper on their life!.

And it is hard to say which is harder to deal with because both have their down sides, but just different downsides!. Type 1 you have to give your self shots everyday and do math to calculate how much insulin to give yourself!. Type 2 you have to exercise and eat healthy!.

Personally I prefer type 1 because I am lazy and a very picky eater =)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
