Question: I have forgotten the formula we used in class to calculate an irregular EKG rhythm!.
I know that you count all the QRS's in a six second period, but what do you multiply it by!? Is it 10 or 6!? Because the other way is to count all the QRS's in 10 seconds and multiply it by either 10 or 6!. Some one help!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a paramedic!. And what you wrote is how to calculate beats a minute (6 second strip X 10 = BPM)!. To figure if it irregular you measure from one Q, R, or S wave to the next Q, R, or S wave; take that measurement and put it against the next and next and next!. If the measurements are different in any (Q Q, R R, S S) it is irregular!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
